Annual Fundraising Gala

The Brief

Design an unforgettable fundraising experience for Children’s Hospital’s annual Star Gala—an event I’ve had the honor of designing for five consecutive years. I designed the gala around a magical storybook theme that would captivate guests, celebrate the hospital’s impact, and inspire giving.​

What I Did

I transformed the gala into a living fairytale, beginning with a giant pop-up storybook entry installation that also served as the event’s step-and-repeat, inviting guests into a world of wonder from the very first moment. Throughout the night, costumed performers, live musicians, and immersive theatrical moments carried the narrative forward. The evening culminated in an enchanted fairy garden after-party, featuring glowing mushrooms, lush florals, and a garden swing photo op that added just the right touch of whimsy. ​

Elegant, whimsical, and transportive. The night played out like a modern fable—filled with wonder, joy, and a powerful spirit of giving. One of the most anticipated philanthropic events of the year, this gala once again delivered both impact and imagination in equal measure.
